Lander's New Entrance

I can't possibly be the only one at Lander University who thinks that the new sign/entrance is simply ridiculous. First off, compared to other schools in SC, Lander has a fairly low tuition, which means that a large chunk of that is going to the re-beautification of the school. Many of the new things are nice such as the trees and new lanscaping around the campus, but the new entrance is just too much. We are a small university of under 3,000 students with a small campus to fit, but the enormity of the new entrance overpowers the small, somewhat charming aspect of the school. And if the size of the sign were not enough, they are now putting up fountains on each side. Putting the cost issue aside, I feel the sign looks tacky for a small public South Carolina University.
